The Marshall County Board of Education met in a special called session on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in the Board Conference Room at Jones School.
Members present were Jerry Campbell, Tim Harrison, Kristen Gold, John McCullough, Craig Michael, Randy Perryman, Ann Tears and Todd Tietgens. No members were absent.
Prayer/Pledge
The Chairman, Mr. Campbell, introduced Michael Jennings, School Board Attorney. Mr. Jennings stated that there are a number of cases developed in Tennessee law that allow a governmental attorney to meet privately with a board to discuss pending or potential litigation. He can only meet with the Board to discuss and answer questions about the litigation. There can be no action, votes or deliberation in this private meeting. At this time the Board convened in private session with Mr. Jennings.
After the session, the Board reconvened in the Board Conference Room. Mr. Jennings informed the audience that he had met with the Board and that there were no deliberations and no votes taken
