Q: I have a computer on the network running Windows XP that when booted shows wallpaper but no icons. If I boot in safe mode, the icons appear. Any suggestions?

A: First thing I would do is make sure that you have the latest video drivers installed for the particular video card you are running. In Safe Mode, windows uses its own display drivers.

Q: Have a problem with images on a webpage not showing up on some computers but yet it does on others. Anyone have any suggestions?

A: Some things you might want to look at would be to see is images are disabled in the browser preferences on those systems not displaying images. I'm not sure what type browser you're using, but you also may want to check to see if a proxy has been enabled under the connection settings as well. That will sometimes have an effect on displaying images.

Q: When I use an image for a background, sometimes it doesn't show up on everyone's computer. Do you have a suggestion on that one?

A: Older browsers can only see images of gif, jpg, etc... and the size does make a difference , use an editing tool to change to gif or jpg format then reduce the size of the file.

Q: I am using Netscape to get my e-mail. How do I change the default to
